Today I decided that I am going to share my evening skincare routine. I am going to be 100% honest, I do not do this every single day because I am living with bipolar. I have good energy days which I am up and about and bad energy days where I can barely move out my bed.
At the end of the week, I start off with a face mask. I either use the brand revolution skincare or L’Oréal clay masks. I put all my products on my dressing table before I do anything so I can see how much products I have.
First step –
I put my hair up and put my cat ears on. I wash my face then I use the Superdrug hot cloth cleanser to cleanse my face. I leave it on for 2 minutes while I am brushing my teeth, then I get my warm flannel and I wipe my face. I let my face air dry then if it is still wet. I pat dry it gently.
Second step –
I sit down in front of my mirror and get my pads out and put some glycolic tonic on them and I apply it to my face and neck. I wait for it to dry then I go onto my next step.
Third step –
I put a pea size amount of eye cream on my fingertip, and I apply it gently on my eyebags and eyelids.
Fourth step –
I then use a hydrating serum to moisturise my skin and I sometimes use retinol in the mixture; I apply 1-2 drops to my fingertips and then I apply it with a circular motion to my skin. The serum I use helps to minimise my fine lines and hydrates my skin because I have a dry complexion.
Fifth step –
I spray my face with a facial spray which improves my skin clarity and restores balance to my skin. I use the Mario Badescu spray. Then when that is dry, I finally use a night cream. I use a little bit, so I do not over hydrate my face. I then use some lip balm so my lips aren’t dry as they are normally dry when I wake up.
